Subconscious Mind – How to Influence It

You have certainly heard of the subconscious mind, but you are probably not away of its power over the actions of people. You can use it effectively to exercise mind control, provided that you know effective techniques for influencing others to do what you want them to.

Before you learn how to influence the subconscious mind, you need to know what it is. This is the part of the mind that is responsible for our irrational thoughts and actions.

Your feelings come from this part of the mind. Just ask yourself how many times you have tried to suppress that feeling of anger against your boss, when he does not let you take that dream vacation of yours. The more you think about it, the angrier you get. You seem to be absolutely helpless for controlling or at least suppressing this feeling.

This is just an example that illustrates how powerful the subconscious mind is. Imagine what it could be like, if you could influence it and use it to your advantage. You could get others to do everything you want them to. Here is how.

Your first task is to build rapport with the person who you will be influencing. This will weaken the alertness of the critical mind.

This is not particularly difficult to accomplish with people who know you and trust you, such as your family members and friends. However, you need some techniques to build rapport with acquaintances and strangers.

You have to make the other person like you. Flatter their ego by making a few compliments. If a person feels that you like him and admire him, they he will certainly like you too.

Tell a joke to make the atmosphere more relaxed. Share something personal, so that the other person knows he can trust you.

Try making the same gestures and actions that the other person has. This will automatically make him bond with you at a level deep down inside his subconscious mind.

The next step is to switch off the critical mind of the person you are trying to influence. This is the part of the brain that makes assessments of situations and people. This is where the conscious decisions are made.

The things you have done for building rapport should work for reducing the person’s alertness. However, you will need to do something more to take the person into a state of trance. It will open his subconscious mind, so that you can make your subliminal messages that he will act upon.

Use the person’s imagination to take them into a more relaxed state. The imagination will help you create thoughts in the subconscious mind of the person that he will want to act upon.

Create a fantasy world for your subject. Make him get comfortable there and let him enjoy it. Then describe to the person what he has to do to make it even better.

For instance, let’s say that you are a sales person trying to sell an expensive accessory to a girl. You can show it to her and say, “Imagine you are in a club wearing your fancies clothes. You have this gorgeous accessory on. Everyone is looking at you. The hottest guy in the club cannot keep his eyes off you.”

Didn’t you just imagine this (if you are a girl, of course)? You can readily use this and other similar techniques to get to the subconscious mind of a person.

Your influence will not be resisted, since it will be enjoyable and desirable. More importantly, the person will map a plan for action in their subconscious mind to make this dream come true.

You have to make sure that the person you are trying to influence is in that dreamy trance state you are trying to accomplish. Then you can make your suggestion.

You simply have to say the words. In the example above, you have to say only, “Buy this accessory”. You can readily add, “I’ll pack it for you.” You will certainly get a positive reply.

This is how to influence the subconscious mind. Of course, this is just a basic guide. It is always best to have a wide arsenal of mind control techniques at hand. More importantly, you have to practice in order to master these techniques.
